With a focus on intimate celebrations, Range and Reef offers a unique take on food services for weddings, engagement, bachelor or bachelorette parties, and rehearsal dinners. Chef Jim takes pride in ensuring that your guests enjoy a “food experience” as part of your celebration where guests can see and smell the cooking and grilling of fine meats, seafood, and vegetables.  

One of the unique advantages of Chef Jim’s live-fire grilling and cooking services is that food can be served all at one time or over an extended period of time where guests can eat at their leisure with meats, seafood, and vegetables continuously coming directly off the grill or out of steam pots.

Range and Reef can accommodate guests who have special dietary needs and also offers food options for children where we often set up a separate “Kids Buffet”, which is always a hit.  

Food can be served open buffet style, tapas style, family-style, and at food and grill stations tailored to your needs. Range and Reef can also serve plated meals for smaller parties and mini-weddings of up to 50 guests. Chef Jim also loves to include something special for the guests of honor at these celebrations. He’s prepared whole Maine lobsters, grilled scallops, petite lamb chops, and even 40 ounce Tomahawk steaks!

With his live-fire grilling expertise, Chef Jim can incorporate grilling into cocktail hours and serve heavy appetizers with a variety of meat and seafood options such as tenderloin bites, shrimp, scallops, Alaskan king crab, or swordfish skewers. Another unique service is his Oyster Bar where premium oysters are served raw and/or grilled over a cedar bar for guests to enjoy.

Range and Reef can also help arrange the rentals of tables, chairs, canopies, linens, and cutlery if needed. We can also arrange for rental of plates and other dinnerware, and we offer the option of using organic and recyclable bamboo and palm leaf plates that bring an extra touch of “sophisticated simplicity” that many of our clients love.

My fiancé (now husband!) and I contacted Range and Reef only 5 days before our wedding and luckily they were available! Jim was super helpful getting everything together but best of all... the food was to die for! Every guest at my wedding consistently told us how delicious it was. Jim surprised our parents with swordfish and lamb. The food was ready right on time and smelled wonderful! I cannot recommend Range and Reef enough. Our only regret is not eating more!

Oh my goodness, Jim and his team catered our 100 person wedding last weekend and everyone RAVED about the food. On top of top notch food, Jim’s team was amazingly helpful in prep process day of and afterwards. They just want you to have a great time and eat amazing food.

We had scallops, shrimp, salmon, sirloin, pork, potatoes, salad, veggies. Oof all amazing. Then! we had grilled apples and bananas for dessert.

We used Range and Reef for our wedding and the food was amazing! Jim was very easy to work with in planning and the execution was flawless. The shrimp boil buffet was a work of art to look at and to eat! I would recommend him for any type of party. Thanks Jim!
